Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well and as excited as I am for the winter holidays. It's going to be nice to get a little break from my job and have some time at home, hopefully this gives me more time with development as well!

Anyway, I just wanted to share some of the progress curerently being made on The Midnight Channel, and how I"m hoping the next month is going to look

This next update doesn't have a name or anything, it's just another number. It's going to be a large update that fleshes out a lot more gameplay and storyline to the game. If all goes well,  I think it's a really good strating place to start modulating my updates based on themes, status and chapters.

Thing to be looking forward to in the next update:

New Skills

There are three new skills added. Gardening, Hacking and Massage. Each of these skills have to od with a different girl and all of them work as a way for you to build up eith money or affection points with a character. They are each unique and fun in their own way, I'm proud to say that all three of them are new to my games and I had to come up with different coding styles to work for each. They are modular and will work throughout the gmae/story as I develop future updates as well!

Interactive Girls

In the past, I have had the Sprites to the girls within the game, and even had the girls in the dialog to some sections of the story, but not all girls were interactable in the sense of seeing them within the game world and talking with them to build up affection points. This was due to my worry of putting them in there and causing confusion if I hadn't completed that girls storyline or not.

With the new update, I'm changing this. I'm placing all the girls I can into the gameplay so that the player can see them within the world and interact with them. This does't mean they all have storyline, but they are at least there for now and can be worked on in the future.

Updates Clothing and Outfits

I have worked on a number of different clothing stlyes for the girls and brought over some new outfits for tehm to try out. There should be a lot of variety now for each girl that has the clothing selection option available. I"m hoping there's a little bit of something for everyone once they get to this section of the game.

More items / Updated inventory management

I reworked how items were handled in the game, and in oreder to test this I had to make a lot more items! Now with the new gardening mechanic, and a few items I wanted to see in-game, there are more things avialable at Junes to purchase. Your own inventory reacts slightly different now, and the shops buying and selling has been rewokred to make more sense.

Bug Fixes and Quality Of Life

As with every update, I'm looking to reduce bugs and gain quality of life features. With  this update, I have taken a much more player-focused approach, trying different methods as I playtest the game. I have balance, reworked and fixed many tiny things that adding up create a much better and more satisfying experience overall. I'm really happy with how it's shaping up after these small improvements

Lots of stuff within this update I haven't totally mentioned yet. If you are a Patron, you probably have already seen some of the latest sreenshots that show off these moments. I"m working hard o making sure the game has a healthy balance of Gameplay focus as well as that adult entertainment that we want to see! So bear with em as I balacne those two things with each update

It's honestly very awesome to receive messages while developing that keep me going and tell me how excited some of your are for more content. I'm  working as hard as I can on it, and I can't wait to show off more features to you all!

Starting with December, I"m going to be posting more of my thoughts and future ideas within the Patron community. This will act as a thank you to all Patrons and those that are able to support.
